Jerusalem is the third holiest city to Islam. Visiting it is not considered a Hajj but a Ziyara and so it is not obligatory but it is certainly recommended. The Muslim people reside in Jerusalem since its occupation by the Caliph Umar. The alleys of Jerusalem have a strong colorful Islamic presence.
